Synopsis from Goodreads...
After spending the summer away from each other, Titus and Iolanthe (still disguised as Archer Fairfax) are eager to return to Eton College to resume their training to fight the Bane. Although no longer bound to Titus by a blood oath, Iolanthe is more committed than ever to fulfilling her destiny—especially with the agents of Atlantis quickly closing in.
Soon after arriving at school, though, Titus makes a shocking discovery, one that makes him question everything he previously believed about their mission. Faced with this devastating realization, Iolanthe is forced to come to terms with her new role, while Titus must choose between following his mother's prophecies—and forging a divergent path to an unknowable future...
"Wintervale was on his feet. "I am all for it."
"And everyone else?" Sutherland gestured at the rest of the room.
"They too, of course," Wintervale answered for them."--The Perilous Sea by Sherry Thomas
Which do you prefer: a gift card or a book as as gift?

I haven't heard of this series. It does sound good. I am spotlighting both and alternate history book - The Inquisitor's Apprentice by Chris Moriarty - and a thriller - She Can Kill by Melinda Leigh - today. Happy reading!

DeleteVery interesting 56 and I love the cover for this book! I myself prefer a gift card to a bookstore because it gives me the freedom of choosing what I want and since we all have different reading tastes it really is the much safer choice. Thanks for visiting my Friday Meme post earlier

DeletePretty cover but I am on the fence about it. Happy Friday!

DeleteGreat cover and I am curious about anything to do with Atlantis. Sounds like they may be a bit of a let down, but ya never know. We all have our likes and expectations. Happy reading.

Despite the name, Atlantis is turning out to be quit the antagonist. Thanks for stopping by! :D
DeleteSounds like something big is about to go down!!! Awesome! Love the cover too!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Actually, this scene was the calm before the storm. Thanks for stopping by! :-)
DeleteThis one sounds good! I prefer gift cards. :)

Great cover art and exciting synopsis! I like both, gift card and book. I'm a gracious receiver!

DeleteInteresting 56! I love the blurb on it as well. That's a hard question! If I knew I was getting a book I really wanted I'd probably choose the book but if I didn't know I'd go with the gift card. Sometimes I lock up with all the options when I have a gift card!
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of the same. With gift cards there almost seems to be too many options. Getting books is always nice so no complaints there. Thanks for stopping by!:D
DeleteNot really my kind of book, but I hope you enjoy it. I'm a gift card person :)
